How to send a notice

Write to [email protected] with: the kind of notice (copyright, unlawful content, personal data, other), the collaboration code or channel id it concerns, a description of what happened and an address where we can reach you. For copyright notices, add the information that shows the right is yours.

What we do

Meshingly has no public content area; messages travel only between the members of one collaboration, end-to-end encrypted. So Meshingly cannot see, read or moderate message content; we look into a notice through the code or channel id you give us.

If the notice is justified we delete the collaboration code and the channel (with its messages and session records), and the code can no longer be used. Where needed to assess lawfulness we contact the competent authorities. We aim to answer notices within a reasonable time.

Logs

The application does not write IP addresses to the database or to its logs; it only keeps a short-lived counter for rate limiting. The access logs of the infrastructure services in front of it (a content delivery and security service) are subject to those services' terms. Details are in the privacy notice.
